1241 Views 6 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Wendell C
I just picked up a Linksys WRT54G wireless router for my PC and PS3 60g WiFi

and may as well go wireless on my XBOX 360 now too

What Wireless Adapter are you guys using in the USB ?

The MS XBOX 360 network adapter is $129 up here in Canada,

seems a little high considering the WRT54G only cost me $49

also heard the XBOX wireless adapter may not be work with the Lynksys router

looking for other options around the $50 mark or less

Unfortunately the extra $20 off deals at Buy.com are over, or else these would hit your price-point better. Until real 802.11N comes along to handle HDTV streaming, they're as good as I need...
I used my old xbox wireless and it works fine. Do you have one of those laying around? Or maybe find one cheap somewhere. Of course, you don't plug it in the usb port.
I use a WET-54G wireless Bridge... come out of the Xbox and in with that... found it on Ebay for like 40 bucks.
TC- My Linksys WRT54G wireless router and MS XBOX 360 network adapter work fine together....

What did not work was the Linksys WRT54G wireless router and Linksys Wireless Game Adapter. I wish I could have back the 3 hours of my life trying to get those 2 items working right and the 4 phone call to India (Linksys tech support) I finally gave up.

My 2 cents is spent the extra cash for the MS adapter, it works great, takes up less space and does not need an extra power cord.
I have the WRT54GS and use the official MS 360 network adapter. Got it on ebay for $75 shipped.
I tried using my laptop as connected to my xbox360 and couldn't get the NAT settings to open up it stayed on moderate, so I went and got the Microsoft wireless adpater and everything is great NAT is now wide open!
