I purchased a 55" LG LED LCD recently which has a great matt screen but terrible clouding/backlight bleeding. I'll try a replacement but if that doesn't work out, I'll need to think of a replacement

Any ideas which makes and models have a matt screen. Most these days ssem to have shiny glossy screens which just don't work in the daylight in rooms with lots of windows?

Sony and Sharp still make matte or semi-matte models.

Do you have specifics on Sharp models with matte LCD panels; what models exactly? It seems I can't find any... maybe States have models with matte screens that are not available in Australia?

Do you know which Sony models in particular? Do they have local dimming and are they active or passive 3D?
