I have a Western Digital 80 GB Caviar with ATA-100 and 8 MB Cache, and a 80 GB Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 ATA-133 with the standard 2MB cache. Which should I use in my setup? Is higher cache more desirable than the higher ATA rate?

I believe that the higher cache drive will be ever so slightly better.

Definitely go with the bigger cache, the ATA-133 won't do anything for

you, most motherboards don't even support that standard.
