Thanks guys.

There are only three brands offering a 26" tube widescreen this year: Panasonic, Samsung, and Toshiba. Panasonic probably is the highest quality out there, except that it does not support 720p. Samsung often has weak power supplies. Toshiba is very compact, but it does not have the best picture quality and is actually made by Orion (Sansui) for Toshiba.

Samsung model supports 720p.. The Panny doesn't.. Even though I feel the Panasonic is the better TV, the lack of 720p is a killer for Xbox/360 gamers... Although, I heard that the 360 will upscale the 720p signal to 1080i, even if your set doesn't support it..

Samsung's difficulties with power supplies lies mostly in the past, but the bad rap continues to dog them. The contemporary models don't suffer in this way.
