The Denon AVR-591 can support 7.1 just need to add a small amp down the road.

But for $600 you will not be able to find a better sounding combo. Keep in mind most movies are only released with 5.1 audio still.

But since you want 7.1 I would Polk RM6750 5.1 set and Denon AVR-1611 The Klipsch HD300 struggled to fill a 15 x 15 listening room I tested them in against similar budget speaker sets

I would just get two decent tower speakers in that budget, it'll blow away any satellite speakers system. You might give the Infinity Primus p363 speakers a look.

Those speakers are $329 each! How do you expect him to buy 2 and a receiver with $600

Um so why not look at something like the Denon DHT-591ba , It comes with a Very highly rated reciever, the Denon AVR-591, and a great set of satelite speakers the Boston Acoutics MCS95

Not a whole lot of information goes in to the surrounds - 5.1 is a

good start. This could work for you, with your tight budget.

I think I am going to buy a 5.1, it does not make to much sense to buy the 7.1, I tried to cancel the order of the nanosat 5.1 but they already shipped.

I was looking into some entry level receiver, the onkyos 308 and 508 and the yamaha 367 and 467, any suggestion? I do not want to go over $250
