Ok im planning to buy some things this week now my question is for my pc and my upcoming receiver which soundcard to buy.

Yamaha RX-671 Receiver

Asus Xonar HDAV 1.3 Deluxe or Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD

For music, gaming, and movies which of those 2 soundcards is better.

Also those green black orange cable to get 5.1 analog where do i put that on my new receiver i don't see the inputs on the back. But i want to use the full surround of my speakers for gaming and music like i do now with my x-fi elite pro + Z-5500. Or can hdmi do al those for music gaming to still get full 6 or 8 channels.

Also using Windows 64 bit and xfx Ati Radeon HD 6870.

Planning to buy all this in 2 days hopefully someone can help me with as much information maybe even information on some cables to buy to get the best sound for games and music.

Thanks in Advance for awnsers and sorry for my bad english.

Greets Wesley.

Your 6870 should do HD audio through hdmi by itself. If you want the analogs, many newer AVRs might not have that type of input. ASUS works with ArcSoft, Auzen works with PDVD for HD audio. As far as gaming audio, I think there is more discussion of that at 3DGuru. http://forums.guru3d.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23
