So I've narrowed my TV search to two and wanted an opinion on which to chose. Would really appreciate some help.

Previously purchased a Samsung 46' LCD with 120hz but I've decided on LED and I absolutely hated the weird motion which I think was only a result of Samsung automotion plus feature. Basically all I do is watch blu-rays(primary function) play the odd ps3 game and watch SD cable. I heard 120hz is better but I don't want the picture to look artificial, just want what I see in a theater at home. Which one should I pick?

120 Hz doesn't cause the Soap Opera Effect, it is the Motion Smoothing processing that causes the SOE. Many Samsungs have separate controls for Frame Rate (120 Hz), and Motion Smoothing. You turn off Motion Smoothing to avoid the SOE.

You're comparing apples & oranges. Both are nice TVs, but the 120hz LG should outperform the 60hz Samsung. To get a fair comparison, compare the LG with the Samsung UN46C6300. It has AMP which can be adjusted or turned off. You'll still have 120hz, the best of both worlds.
