95% home theater(720p front projector) 5% music

7.1 channel(for future)

3 HDMI minimum(HD-A2 player, Blu-ray player, HD satellite)

Power: 80 watts per channel ?? (I use 4 small bookshelf speakers, center speaker, and powered sub).

I do not need 1080p upscaling(I will upgrade my 720p projector in the future to 1080p).

The Blu-ray player I buy will have the HD decoding built-in.

I hope to spend $350 maximum. Is that possible?

What receivers do you recommend? Which ones will work with me running HDMI cables into receiver, and one HDMI cable to projector? I'm confused with the HDMI pass-through vs. switching thing. Thanks.

The onkyo 606 is the best option at your budget imo if you want to go new. If you don't mind refurbished your options open up a little with HK and Marantz.

Thanks jakeman02. What are some reliable sites to look for those refurbs? Do you think I'm better off buying a receiver with the HD decoding built-in?

The Yamaha 663 only has 2 HDMI. I need 3 minimum. Is the Sony 820 any good? This is for 95% home theater use. Thanks.
