Hi. Which current receivers or pre-pros offer a generic form Dynamic Range Control which will operate on:

DTS

DTS-MA

Dolby Digital

Dolby Digital Plus

Dolby TrueHD

PCM

LPCM


I want to know which products offer this feature WITHOUT requiring Audyssey. Audyssey can be an included feature but I want to achieve universal DRC without activating Audyssey.

Yamaha and Pioneer receivers don't use Audyssey at all so they probably fit your requirement.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I would assume that all manufacturers implementation of dynamic range controls to operate both independently and in conjunction with more pivotal features like EQ. Anything less seems like a very inefficient design. Are you saying that some AVRs with Audyssey, don't support DRC unless Audyssey itself is setup and enabled?
