I'm currently looking for a new screen, something around 120" to 130" diagonal to go with a sony vpl-cx1 projected at about 20 feet. I know I should try to go with a Stewart screen, but they are going to be out of the price range I'm looking (somewhere around $200). I have been looking at the 8'x6' da-lite, just wondering if I can get anymore width without going out of that price range
For the size screen you are looking for, $200.00 is pushing it. A basic Model B pulldown from Dalite at that size costs more than that and it is about their least expensive screen. Send me an email with the specifics you are looking for and I can give you some ideas.
I guess it all depends on who you buy the screen from, the 6x8 da-lite model B pulldown in matte white or glass beaded is listed at $160 at http://www.biz2bizonline.com/dalite/wscreens5.htm , after shipping I don't think I'm too far off at $200
It all really depends on the material. You can see that the higher gain materials sell for a bit more. My price for the Model B 72"x96" Matte White is only $150.00...just an FYI. 130" diagonal sells for even more.
I actually tried sending you the quote the same day I got it but I'm having trouble with your email address again! I believe that you had a different address that worked last time. Let me know so that I can get you that quote tommorrow.
Thanks!
PS-When I sent the email, it came back undeliverable. I'm not sure why.
