Hi Guys,


I have a Pioneer Elite DV59-AVi hooked up to my Sony XBR950 LCD Projection TV using an HDMI to DVI cable.


The player allows several different resolution options:


720 X 480 P

720 X 480 I

1280 X 720 P

1280 X 720 I

1920 X 1080 I


Until I have the time to test and evaluate each setting which of the previous setting would you recommend as a good starting point?

If one of the settings happens to be the native resolution of your display device, use that one.

The Sony scales everything to 1386 x 788. Should I choose the closest resolution?


I wonder how much PQ will suffer from being double scaled.

It is kind of distressing how quickly that point arrives!
