Which streamers support Spectrum app?

Hey folks, I just did an update to the matrix on post #1 on the "Help Me Choose a Streaming Device" thread to include "Notable unsupported apps" for each device.

I know from personal experience that the Spectrum app is no longer supported on Roku devices; browsing some Reddit threads it looks like there are also issues on NVidea Shield. Can anybody point me to a reference for where the Spectrum app is/is not supported for install?

Not sure what you mean by "not supported" on Roku, but the Spectrum app:

1) still updates if installed.
2) downloads/installs for new devices when the Spectrum app is already installed on other devices on the same account.
3) loads/authenticates and is usable as before.
4) is available for (re)install for those accounts that had/used the app before mid-December (but accidentally removed it) via private app link + install code provided by Spectrum support personnel.

This is not to say that there arent instances where the above 4 scenarios fail (there are), but they are all resolvable by contacting Spectrum support (because its supported).

Perhaps what you meant to say was "The app is not available for new customers/customers that did not download/use it prior to mid-December", which is true, and not the same as "not supported".

I had this same problem wanted the spectrum app to replace cable boxes. It's only on the apple tv box. No Roku, Amazon boxes or shield tv. I have tried them all... You can also get it in a Samsung tv or xbox.

Also if you have it on a Roku from before they took it off make sure you do not delete it since you wont be able to redownload it.
One thing to keep in mind is that Roku access for a home seems to be tied to the MAC address of the modem... so if you have your modem replaced (i.e. a new MAC address), you'll lose Spectrum access on your Rokus even though the app is still present/installed. This happened to my parents a couple of months ago.
