I've looking at the following subs and was wondering what would be the best for me. My room is 20x16x8 and opens into a kitchen area and I live in a townhome with neighbors on both sides of me so I dont listen at high levels. I have more preference in music but that doesnt mean I dont care about HT but if i had to sacrifice it would be on the HT side. That being said which would best:

SVS 25-31 PCI for $325

ED A5-350 B-stock $575

Outlaw LFM-1 EX $525

All prices include shipping while the SVS is local. I wont lie and say money isnt a factor but I also want to get the best bang for the buck.

I have a new A5-350 and its awesome... worth every penny! The output on this thing is nuts, and although I haven't heard the others I've never heard a sub quite like this one with a 15" woofer with two huge ports, this thing is loud and clear, and adds so much to movies, games and music!

If you were going to give your subwoofer an ongoing work-out the A5-350 would make sense.

Given townhouse living and restricted volume, the 23-31 at that price is a good way to go, if you know it is in perfect condition.

I would expect the ED to get the loudest, and be the best for home theater. You may never use it's full potential though, being in a townhouse. It will shake your walls. It weighs over 100 lbs though.

The SVS weighs only 50 lbs, but I hear it is no slouch for output either. It will eat up a lot less floorspace and be a lot easier to move around. I would expect the outlaw to be very good also, maybe something of a compromise between the two in terms of output, and could very well be the best for music. I would be happy with any one of them.

I went to the guys house to see the SVS and man I didnt realize how big it was. Unfortunately I didnt get a good audition bc the guy was in the process of moving so it was just the sub connected to the receiver with a cd player playing but no speakers and the sub was just sitting there. I told him i needed a proper audition and he seemed ok with the idea of testing it in my house since we live close to each other but he also said he had another potential buyer coming in today so we'll see.

LOL if you think the SVS tube is big ( 32 1/2" H x 16" D)

The eD will look HUGE (W - 19.00", H - 25.00", D - 24.75")

Little shorter but its really big, trust me, but if space isn't a big deal its worth it!
