Should i go with Mirage OMD5's? Or should i go with Def Tech BP1.2X? My fronts are Martin Logan Preface's.

My couch is right against the back wall. Looking to buy tomorrow or tonight

when speaker positioning is less than ideal, I would go with the Mirage OMD5 omni speakers. The bipole BP1.2x speakers would not give you the soundfield you want.

NOTE: personal opinion based on Dolby Labs preference for monopole speakers - di/bipole speakers are a leftover from the pro logic days of a single surround channel matrixed to two speakers - but they can still be useful in large irregular rooms.

Oh okay, ya its not a huge room but its open to the dining area so i guess the nano's will be too small even for surroundsound. Ya i saw that the other day the deal on the OMD5's which is why i questioned those in the original post. Vann's also has the DT's that i originally asked for a hell of a deal as well.
http://search.vanns.com/sitesearch/search?q=BP1.2x and that is for the pair

The Mirage may be your best bet - Did you look at the Martin

Logan Encore TF speakers at Audio Advisor.

I would love to run all ML's as i love my Preface's. However those speakers will not work for me i dont believe, due to my couch being right up against hte back wall. And i need to wall mount my rear speakers, as i have a 2 year old kid and he would knock the stand down. And i dont think it would sound good with those speakers flush mounted against the wall, but i could be wrong.

They were made to flush mount also - they come with the wall

brackets. I own 3 of them - however, in your case the Mirage

may be better suited.
