I am looking to purchase this DVD and seeing as I cant find it anywhere locally, I turned to amazon.ca. They have two different versions of the DVD listed:

http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASI...125394-2205928 - $12.94 released December 16, 2003 by the studio Key DVD. Also labelled as "IMPORT" although it is Region 1.


Is there anyway to tell what the differences are? Naturally I would like to get the one sporting the best PQ/SQ. I believe both are anamorphic widescreen (according to IMDB) so at least I dont have to worry about getting a non-anamorphic copy.


Any advice/help is appreciated.

Actually upon further inspection (dont know how i missed it before) the one released on December 16, 2003 appears to only be in DD 2.0 according to IMDB.

The other release has a date of November 5, 2002 and is reported as being in DD 5.1.


No mention of a September 30, 2003 release though so I'll have to keep researching.

DVDtalk says Nov 5 release has DD 5.1 and DD 2.0 audio. Also, movie was shot

in 16mm. So, I guess if you get the cheaper one, you won't be missing anything

unless there are some extra extras.
