Cant decide which 50 inch plasma, LGPK550 is what Im leaning towards. The other choices Samsung PN50C550G1F or the Panasonic TC-P50S2 .

The 3 were right next to each other at Sears, but the demo they have running on there its so hard to see. Would like to see just regular tv in HD.


Any suggestions?

LG 50PK550 - reflective panel (control lighting, lamps, etc), 24p, chadtv member gives v. good review ..


Samsung PN50C550 - overall v. good performer; CR review 58" high marks; good track record; some report buzz, but all relative ..


Panasonic TC-P50S2 - good performer (G25 rated best); some report graininess, unable to establish good picture; some report buzz, but all relative.



in order of preference (fm yr selection): Samsung, LG, Panasonic.

LG or Samsung. S2 will end up with very high black level and will end up looking like an LCD. Panasonic artificially inflates the deepness of the blacks for start of the set's life. Then there's also floating blacks to contend with.


On the other hand, Panasonic slightly better resisting temporary IR but none of them should be terrible in that regard.
