So I managed to snag a Toshiba 35AFX54 for my retro gaming set up, and initial impressions are really good. Everything is bright and crisp, convergence and geometry is good, but my greyscale is more like a greenscale!
So I got the service manual and looked at some values and my GCUT was nearly twice as high as the others.
I want to get it adjusted the best I can without any fancy equipment just so it looks pleasing to my eye, but going by the service manual it wants me to open up the back and adjust the flyback first.
Is there a good way to adjust these settings without resorting to that? I do have access to some test patterns using the 240p test suite.
Attached pic is the white balance reference page.
