Hi everyone,


I have a Sharp 36C230 that is about 7 months old. Ever since I purchased it, it has always had a white patch close to the top of the screen. This is really only visible when the screen image is dark. I took some photos of what I am talking about. I tried my best to "capture" a photo of this, but the camera did not pick it up as well as I would like. What you will see is a whiteish patch towards the top center of the screen. If someone knows what this is and how to fix it (service menu?) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Jo

Does the tv you have happen to be an LCD set.?

no, just a plain front view tv.

you could possibly have your contrast setting too high or brightness setting.


Try those and see if it fixes the problem.

just tried it, no change or improvement. I am worried that during the manufacturing process, the top middle inside of the tube did not get good coverage of the material they spray on there - hence the "light" bleed through. dunno....

Is the tv covered by warranty? Get it repaired or replaced.
