What follows is pure speculation that I hope people will shoot down, but I was curious.
First, does Sony make the LCD panels for the PLV70? The reason I ask is that the Epson panels seem to be 1280x720 while both Sony's and Sanyo's are 1368x768.

Sony will stop selling panels to Sanyo at the end of March.
Could this also be part of the reason that Sanyo has not come out with a PLV80?
