Who Coined Phrase "High End Audio?"

1174 Views 5 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  CINERAMAX
I remember reading an article in The Absolute Sound by Harry Pearson in which Pearson claimed to have first introduced the phrase "High End Audio."

Anyone know if that is true, or anything about the origin of the term?

My understanding is that it was in common use in Boston before Pearson.

Cineramax, obviously.

No doubt. He also invented the Internet. It wasn't Al Gore after all!!!

And it wasn't George Bush, either. You ask him "Who invented the Internet" and his response

is "What kind of hair net is that?"
