did the contrast drop like a bomb? was the screendoor much more visible? I guess so but was the image still watchable?


I imagine a 2.35 lens would help a lot on 2.35 movies.

that would be huge. and possible with a 2000+ ANSI projector I suppose and some screen gain.

I was thinking the same thing until I found out that the cost of replacement lamps at $75,000 each was a real barrier to ownership.
