My husband decided that playing Medal of Honor on his 17" LCD wasn't cutting it, and adopted my Tatung 23 HD. I was going to try the 30 Sceptre, or the 27 Maxent, and headed to Costco. The biggest they had was the 27 Max, alongside of a 22" Panny (non HD), a 22" Sharp (WS/HD), and various others. My biggest gripe with the Tatung has been the poor color and softness via component (no DVI here). Better via svideo and VGA. I messed with the Max, Sharp and Panny, and never touched the bydsign 2232, and it outshined all of them....sharper by far, better color, contrast...I was real leary...odd name, not as big as I wanted, but the PQ was as clearly different from the other LCD's as the Panny ED is from other ED plasmas. I picked one up, and I'm gonna hook it up to OTA HD via DVI, and the PC tonight. I'm still wondering why it looked so different. the contrast is listed as a bit higher than the others....and it appears to have a different "shinier" glass....but I was shocked at the difference there. All same feeds. Update you tonight.
