Personal opinion says for me Kenwood DV-5900M. Can't beat the picture with ANY changer. Quirks yes. Picture quality is fantastic.

Is the difference in price worth it?

I also read an older review about a DTS bug. Has it been fixed?

I haven't had any DTS problems but of course I sent mine in for the firmware update etc. All the new ones on the shelves already have the newest firmware. As with all changers there are limitations but I've had the Sony 850, 860, 875 and finally the Kenwood. Add DVD-Audio and the Faroujda chipset and all the little bugs with the Kenwood are insignificant.

Oh yeah it's the ONLY changer I know that truly allows you to hook up three changers with only one input connected to your TV or receiver. The Sony's don't have inputs, only outputs!
