Is any company selling HTPC that are cable card ready?

Ati will be selling a cable card device for the pc soon... supposedly it will only work on vista...

not yet, we have to wait till February after the big vista roll out on the 30th.
After that all major vendors should have them.

I thought all cable card enabled devices could only be purchased as part of a complete system? For those of us build-our-own types, I'm hoping that the ATI device provides a glimmer of hope that we could build our own HTPC with cable card capabilities.

Yeah his statement was a bit misleading. ATI is/will be selling them exclusively to the vendors.

I found this included in the ATI press release but I'll believe it when I see it. At least the non-OEM part.

looks promising. Are there any HDCP-enabled monitors out there yet? anything 30" or larger?
yeah dell and viewsonic both have HDCP enabled monitors. The dell 30" is HDCP
