I am planning a Nuvo or Russound distributed audio system.

I am trying to get down to 6 zones but have some questions. What I have found is that there are some places where I would like to control the volume but not the source. For example, the kitchen is near a screened porch and patio. I would never listen to something different in the kitchen and on the screened porch so I think it would be excessive to have a keypad in all of these locations. However, it would be nice to not always have the volume up on the patio if kitchen music is on. Can I just use impedence matched volume controls on the screened porch and patio and then run wire back to my central closet where I would connect all speakers from the kitchen, porch and patio as zone 1 to multizone amp? How many sets of speakers can I connect on one zone this way on Nuvo system. I am trying to save some money and keep my distribution at 6 zones. Thanks for any info.
