Yes, it was real good quality, no DD. PQ beats the hell out of '8 Simple Rules (sad excuse for HD)', I dont think the show will last though.

I can't remember the name of the show, but wasn't that new show after Whoopi suppose to be HD also...Received Whoopi in HD but the show after was SD.

Good god, this show was awful. My eyes! Hopefully this pilot is all we get to see. The stereotyping of this show was really bad, but the Iranian guy was the worst.


PQ was good though, ABC still has had the most experience, IMO, with taping sitcoms in HD, but NBC is learning.

Here in DFW, the show had some small, white lines coming down from the top left portion, where the dividing line between 4x3 and 16x9 is.

I did not get it in HD with TWC of Raleigh-Durham. The PQ was definitely better than the SD channel, but it was not HD or WS. Are most NBC prime time shows supposed to be in HD, because I haven't seen any if they are.

For those of you that didn't watch the whole show, there was a very funny segment dealing with Whoopi buying a new TV. FYI, she ended up with a Sony Grand Wega LCD widescreen. A 60" for $4000. Not a bad price.

Most of you you left after 10 minutes missed some of the funniest parts.

I thought it was OK. Certainly different from most of the other cookie-cutter sit-coms we're spoon-fed these days (God, how I miss Seinfeld). As Kipp mentioned, some genuine laughs occurred over the last 20 minutes or so.


I've read the anti-smoking lobby is up in arms over her smoking on the show, but as a smoker, let me say "Bravo Whoopi!" - and I don't even like her all that much. One thing to remember is that, at least from my perspective, pilot episodes usually suck. We'll see next week I guess.

Anyway, the picture quality was great, but after 5 minutes I couldn't watch any more, it was a horrible show. But then, I just can't stand whoopi, she is just not funny in anything she does.
