Probably my favorite arcade classic! What intrigues me about this release is that they mention:


"Play the 100% arcade accurate reproduction of Xevious for the first time anywhere"


I have played Xevious on the DS and the game-in-a-joystick versions and it clearly wasn't the same. I hope this is the real deal!


And only 400pts!

I really liked this when it came out too. Not sure if I want to revisit it or not. Will try the demo and see if it brings back that old enjoyment. I believe I owned this on the TurboGrafx-16. But it may have been a different system. It was so long ago. Also, as the article stated, Rush 'n Attack is coming out at the same time but I was never a big fan of that one. At least the prices are right for these classics.

I didn't know Xevious was coming to XBLA......I might have not got the Wii-VC version if I did. Oh well......must fight urge to buy yet another copy of this game...lol


Rush N Attack is finally here! Yet another classic game I never won but continued to play....and play and play and play. One of these days I'll actually get better at it..

i've been waiting and hoping that they'd put xevious on XBLA...one of my favorite arcade games from my youth.


now all i need is to get my 360 repaired...sigh.

I spent a lot of my paper route profits at the local video arcade playing Xevious. That and Asteroids!


Xevious will be my first XBLA purchase

You and me both. Xevious is a perfect fit for XBLA. Now they only need to squeeze 1943 in there at some point...

Rush N Attack looks sweet..I remember Xevious as a kid..Good game not sure if i will be willing to spend 5 bucks on it now...Rush N Attack catches my eye never played it but I am a huge buff of 2d side scrolling shooters.

xevious was one of my favorite games because you could play so long on one quarter.

YYYep!

Especially when you reached that mothership, and that buzzing sound accompanying the mothership's launching of all those little black bombs (or whatever the heck they were.....made you tighten your grip on the joystick when they DID appear)!


I'll be scooping this one up too.


Might get Rush-N-Attack as well.

good call - 1943 ruined me when it came out...i don't think i saw the light of day for months.


man, those were awesome days for gaming, as elementary as the games were by today's standards: pure, unalloyed fun without arguments about lighting and vsync and resolution...

I have Xevious in one of those joystick thingys. I suck at it, and rarely even make it past the first boss.


Rush N Attack though is a game I used to love and had completely forgotten about it. I might be picking that up.


I really wish they'd bring out 1943 or Ikari Warriors. That would be some good stuff.
