Im trying to play a TS file through Media player classic and it's running choppy. I know FFDshow is behind this so how do I disable it from the media player?

MPC simply uses the Directshow 'automagic' facility to link a functional chain of filters. Directshow selects filters on their 'pin compatability' and when multiple candidates exist, selects the one with the highest 'merit'.


So, either disable the appropriate 'pins' (codec) in ffdshow or lower its merit.

Most likely you have RAW VIDEO enabled in the CODECS section - disable it. If not, disable whatever FOURCC is in the TS.


The merit slider is in the INFO & DEBUG section. (For full precise control of the value, use something like RADLIGHT FILTER MANAGER.)
