Is LT-150 superior to LT-155 or LP-350 for hometheater?

LT-150 is very famous projector in US.

But LT-150's price is going down sharply.

Taking economic principles into consideration

LT-150's price is so weird.

I can't understand this situation.

Plz explain.

The LT-150 has been slated to be discontinued for the last few months. It has finally been officially discontinued within the last two weeks. That is why the projector is steadily decreasing in price. There is one more factor that is contributing to its decline. Its successor, the LT150Z will actually be better then the current LT150 and will therefore sell at a higher price. This is unlike what happened to the LP340-V. Where the LP340-B is actually not as good as the LP340-V. That is why the LP340-V has been steadily hovering at the same price for months. Only dropping slowing, not drastically like the LT150.

Is there no diffrence between LT-150J(Japanese model)

and LT-150?

Or LT-150J is LT-150Z's Japanese model?

Where can I get the SPECS of LT-150Z?

Hello,

LT150J and Lt150 are identical. But not sure wether even every details of software is same anyway same user manual is included both of them. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Lowest price of LT150J I could find on internet was 355.000 Yen and was told that lowest preorder price of SHARP Z9000 is 550.000 Yen (around $4.600 in US) in Japan now. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Anyway Nice to see another Korean here. I'm a korean too.

"with the introduction of the LT150Z, will current LT150 owners be able to swap to the longer life bulb? I think it's rated at 2000 hours."

IIRC, it the LT150Z bulb is much more expensive as well, like $800.

The Lt150 is cheap because it is a no zoom, low powered business projector with a short life and very expensive bulb.

$800 for a replacement bulb!

Jeez, are they pricing these things high to encourage people to upgrade to new projectors? It certainly doesn't seem cost effective to replace a bulb after 2 years.
