Why do electronics equipment not have a ground on the power cable? None of mine do. (I have a sony 910, tivo, dvd, etc).

That's a great question, I've wondered that myself.

From some things I have read, I might speculate that having all those devices share the same ground would be bad for interference reasons...?
I believe that all the sets are completely insulated.

The (modern) plugs are also properly phased, i.e. the one spade is larger than the other, so that there is no chance of the neutral, white wire, connecting to the hot side, black.
