Why Samsung Smart TVs ES8000FXCZ cannot record or pause live TV

So European and Australian models of Samsung smart TVs has live recording and pause and rewind features. Is there a reason why we are left behind with these features. How can we obtain them on our TVs. When I asked the Samsung Tech/ Customer support, they had no clue if such features/ technology even exists. Any solutions? Thanks
