I can't seem to find the Hitachi 42HDT79 model from a reputable source.


Not carried by the big boxes... and reputable etailers (with a decent price) either don't carry it or are out of stock (JR, crutchfield, etc..).


Why the lack of supply?

Spoke with a sales guy at HHGregg (also out of inventory) and he said that the manufactuer hasn't told them when they would receive another shipment... got an email from JR saying essentially the same thing.


No problem finding the 55"...


Let me know if you have any sucess, as I don't know all of the outlets.

If you live in Cananda, you can find the HDT79 series at The Brick, Leons, 2001 audio video, Visions and independent dealers. There is always stock of that product at those retail stores
