Is there a reason why Sony doesn't have any plasma's?

They still have their proline series plasma's, however, they did not see the profitability of producing consumer model plasmas over LCDs. As you may know they dropped their entire line of rear projection sets to focus on LCDs and upcoming OLED.

OLED......... They have too much time and money in LCD and there SXRD technology and now with there interest leaning towards OLED...

From what I've read in the past , Sony for whatever reason didn't want to invest in a great deal of R&D on plasma tech early on. As a result other companies got ahead of them in both R&D, and market % for plasmas. So rather than play catch up in th Plasma market, they put all their eggs into the LCD basket and pushed that tech. I'm sure there's more to it, but that's pretty much what I got out what's been written.
