I've setup my MCE to use my Kworld pciHD115 OTA HD channels. All was good in the world. Today I just got a digital STB and I plugged it into my PCI tuner card through S-VIDEO, everything works great in Kworld's craptastic program, but when I try to set it up in MCE I can't ever get the setup to even work.


I go to setup TV > Setup TV signal > Confirm Your Region > Setup TV Signal (This is the weird part) I choose to manually setup my TV signal and hit next and it goes to the You Are Done! page saying its going to use the Digital Antenna, which I dont want to use...how the hell can I reset it or use both? It wont let me change it no matter what I choose. ugh.

Anyone know how to reset media center so it thinks its the first time I've run it?

If you are trying to use the kworld to record from your STB within Media Center, it won't work. Although the card has an analog tuner, the analog tuner is not compatible with media center, only the HD tuner is.


I read the kworld website and they are really vague about it but the following blurb is their way of telling you this:

"Must have an analog hardware encoder card working before installing with XP Media Center Edition."


This card does not have a hardware encoder for the analog signals.
