Wierd problem with new Sam 4250 please help.

I came home today to alter the picture settings on my Samsung 4250 (using the one that is in Zippy's thread) and before I could set them my picture went into a snowy screen with multiple colors (white, pink, green...ect) but I still have sound. I looked in the manual and it said to try unpluging for 30 seconds. I did and it worked but only for about 5 minutes.

Anyone know what's up with this? Defective unit? Should I return it? I was going to call Samsung but they will just tell me to do what I already did.

Sounds like you have a video board going bad....take it back asap. (and get a Panny or Pio

)

edit- forgot to ask...are you using the internal tv tuners or a cable/sat box?

I was using a Direct TV sat box. The reason I chose the Samsung was because it was the best tv I could find for my budget. Didn't want to go over $1100 and I got it for $999 because I complained to the sales manager.

Took it back tonight and it wasn't a fun experience. The lady told me they oculd special order it but I have to wait 5-10 days even though there is a truck coming there tomorrow and Friday. The manager told me if he ordered it today he 'should' be on there Friday since they have 89 of them in warehouse.

I hope it's there Friday because I set Saturday aside to wall mount it and that's the only day I'll have off for about the next 2 months.

dang...that sucks. good luck.

as for wall mounting it, even if it is not here you could always get the mount up and the cables ready so that when it comes in all you have to do is put it on the mount.
