I'm no expert reviewing stuff but playing Resort, it reminded me of getting the Wii on Day 1 and playings Sports non stop. Its just fun, you don't have to think about what you do and everything is "kinda" natural.

The intro to the game, you are involved with by doing a skydive. I didn't get it right till it was almost over. That was cool.. Quick statement by game type.

* everything was 2 player last night *

Sowrdplay - Probably the most fun we had. Object is simple, just knock opponent out of the play area. You can block which may be important depending on technique. 1 player mode a la dynasty warriors was pretty cool on the first board. 2nd game type is quick slices in a certain direct "high to low, left to right, etc..) Fun in multi-player.

Wakeboarding - Simple game. But keeping doing well to get more points. Must land flat after a jump to stay alive. Fun board.

Frisbee - If you have Tiger Woods 10, you will love this. There is a frisbee golf game (havn't played it yet) and Dog catch. Dog catch is fun. Not much to say...

Archery - really fun but simple. Havn't unlocked all the modes yet.

Basketball - could of had more controls but its ok. 3v3 is kinda silly but it reminded me of hoops for NES back in the day a little. Game types include 3 point contest and 3v3

Table Tennis - Wii Play Table Tennis with a big update. You can slice/spin the play. Haven't figured out power moves but it was fun. 2 player done split screen.

Golf - Only thing we didn't play. I'm sure its original golf with an moderate update. Why? Look at bowling.

Bowling - I was surprised to see bowling in here. Whats different? Not much but now i guess with Motion Plus..its having more effect on the ball. I tried to do the same things I did in Sports and half the times I get strikes. Haven't play Sports bowling in a while so that may of contributed to not doing well.

Power Cruising - Fun in 2 player mode racing though the gates. Haven't unlocked all the modes.

Canoeing - Haven't tried. I think it would of been similar as Cycling...

Cycling - We tried to do everything 2 players so we picked the tandem bike. My friend and I did it all wrong as we weren't pedaling at the same time. There are other modes but we didn't try them.

Air Sports - Biplane is really fun. Not sure how to explain it. Almost Pilot Wings like. Didn't try all the events.

I'm about to play things 1 player pretty much for the first time. Hopefully my experience will continue to be fun. I believe this is a must have in the collection. Great for multi-player as must things allow 4 players. In the beginning, each controller must Calibrate by placing it on a flat object and not moving it for up to 10 seconds or so. This must only be done once or you can do it again if you think the controller is not acting right.

Of course, the same scoring system in Wii Sports is back so at the end of the game, it measures how well you did, +/- XXX points. I'm sure when you get to 1000, you will see something different. There are stamps in the game to achieve. Probably means nothing but similar to Xbox and PS3 achievements. Golf had a like 5 stamps from what i remember seeing just to give an example.

So thats my bad review. I hope this helps. Its just fun. Enough said.

And you may ask why I have it already, my friend works at a local game store.

Enjoy on Sunday!

I forgot I ordered it until I got in to work today and saw my e-mail. Hooray for a Super Saver Shipping order getting out the day before release. Will still take a week to get here though

I'm looking forward to getting this game. I used the excuse to my wife it was for my son but she did not buy it. She knows with a game like that it will be fun for all of us. Let the games begin just like wii sports game that came with it.

Nintendo once again shows how a little game can be a lot of fun. This version has improved golf and bowling so I'd imagine it to be great seller.

Give it time - I grabbed this & a 2nd WM+ on Sunday. Had some fun, but nothing to write home about the 1st time thru w/ the wife. But having spent more time w/ Resort both with her & solo....yeaa, it's growing on me (and my forearms & shoulders are felling it today).

Actually enjoy every "sport" so far, but swords & archery qualify as my top 2. The only one I can say that does not have me coming back for more too much is the cycling, but it's still entertaining - moreso w/ a race partner. Other than that, they all are great fun.

REALLY like WM+ overall. Makes for a much more tactile experience. What I did notice is that VS Wii Sports Golf.....I really suck @ Resort's version!! But I keep coming back!! OTOH, I seem to bowl better in Resort than origianl Sports....go figure.

Despite some reviews lackluster feelings to ward the air & water sports...I love em. Waterskiing (or wakeboard) is great fun. And the jetski game really is Waverace Wii (or Mii). Skydiving is cool - the 6 yr old loves that one. And the flying elements make me wish for a full on Pilotwings Wii w/ WM+.

Swords do scream for Lucasarts to make a proper lightsaber game for Wii now. Red Steel 2 should kick ass!!

Anyway, we are lovin' Resort. I see this geting some action for a while.

BTW, I also like how WM+ adds some weight & size to the Wiimote - feels more substantial & balanced overall.

Keep the pleas to giving the Axl Rose solo project....err, pseudo-GnR... another shot to the RB thread, dude.

My final comment on that, Basher....GnR was to me SLASH, IZZY & DUFF & their chemistry w/ Rose....not Rose himself. "Hired guns" do not make up GnR ingredients in my mind. That band is essentially dead to me now & I hated the tunes I heard on Democracy.

Done...back to Wii Sports Resort talk now, please?

Is the golf on Resort the same nine holes as on the original Sports or is it a newly designed course?

There are 3 new courses, divided by difficulty, w/ 3, 9 or 18 hole options. The 1st Wii Sports courses are also available with the same options. There is also a choice marked "?" that is for me still locked.

Yes you have to unlock them. The most fun are the 3rd levels.

Try the 3rd level sword fighting. I think its only single player but gets challenging after getting 600 points. You really have to know how to defend and attack the horde..

I fear RS2 does not. According to the videos I see RS2 as delayed action while WSR has 1:1 live action. I may be wrong.

I do see a 3rd SW game following called "Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes". No word on M+ support.

Mine got lighter because Im using the recharge battery pack now.

I like it light to chase after the horde..

Thanks! That makes this a must-buy for me. I'm pathetically addicted to the first Sports golf.

Anyone know if there are any deals on this? I hate to spend the money for it even though I know I want it.

Good thing, then...I guess...that RS2 has been delayed until early 2010 according to a news post over on IGN today. Maybe some bugs can get worked out while we wait?
