Will speakers from an onkyo ht-s570 HTiB (8ohms) work on the panasonic saxr10 receiver. The specs say the amp is 100Watts at 8ohm but that the load impedence is 6-8ohms. What would be the effect of this?

The speakers will be fine with that receiver. It can handle most loads greater than 4 ohms with no problems. Some will say that it can't handle 4 ohm loads, but I haven't had a problem with mine for over a year.
