My room is 12' x 17'. I am thinking of getting the LT150 projector. At about 7'8" from the screen, there is a 7" beam that sticks down from the 8' ceiling. I will probably be mounting the projector from the ceiling, at about 13' - 14'.

Will that beam be in the way of the image, or does the image drop at a steep angle? I know I can always put a longer ceiling mount on it to get it below the beam, but I don't want the image to be 3" from the ground.

Go to www.nectech.com and download the throw calculator manual that has the LT150 throw drawn out with formulas. You can then plot your beam in there and see if it'll interfere. The other option is to drop the PJ a little so that it'll miss the beam. LT150 has a 17 degree vertical shift so if you plot it out, I'd bet you'd be OK
