Hi all.

I have a Geforce5600fx in my normal PC, and a Radeon9500 in my HTPC.

I just wondered if Geforce has reached a point where they are as good

as Radeons for video playback? Noise floor and so on.

Thanks,

Nicholas

CinemVidGuy, I only bought the 5600 because I needed nVidia's 3D

drivers for my shutterglasses. This forces me use older drivers. Do you

have any idea if nVidia is going to upgrade their 3D drivers?

Thanks,

Nicholas

I'm using the 45.23 drivers, the last to work with your 3D drivers.

I like the quality of the FX5600U, I upgraded from a Radeon 7500. I also purchased a Radeon 9800 Pro at the time and tested out the ability to play back Elementary Streams, the FX5600U outperformed the 9800 Pro at the task and video quality were about equal. Hence the FX5600U is in my HTPC and not a complaint.
