Hi all,

I need to do some RGB switching as my XG1350 only has a single RGBHV input. I have the opportunity to buy an NEC 6010 switcher, will this work? The Manual for the XG only makes mention of the 6020.

The switcher will have 3 x RGB inputs, and no video inputs, so I don't need the quad board, is that right?

Also, how would I go about controlling the switcher? Is the projector able to control the 6010 in the same way that it can control the 6020? Are they compatible?

Thanks very much in advance for any advice

Regards

I don't see any reason that the 6010 would not work. The 6010 is the earlier model of the 6020, as I remember the 6020 fixed some problem that the 6010 had when connected to digital projectors, although don't quote me as I cannot find that reference right now. The cards are interchangeable between the two switchers (if you ever looking to add some). You will not need the quad board as it converts video to RGB. The XG should have no problems controlling the switcher.

Hope this helps

Cheers,

Lee.
