Will I benefit from the receiver upconverting my FiOS DVR's 1080i to 1080p on 6020FD?

I am trying to decide on a new Receiver and some of the models that I am looking at do upconvert all HDMI and Component to 1080p while other just pass it through. This is pointless for Blu-Ray since the player will handle the video processing, but I watch a lot of TV so I wanted to find out whether I should even care that my FiOS DVR will be in 1080i and not 1080p? Thanks

if you have a good 1080p display that properly deinterlaces then you should be just fine with the 1080i from some of the hd channels on fios.
ohhh that's right the TV itself can also process the signal....good call
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't worry about that feature. The TV will almost certainly do this at least as well as the receiver.
