I have a Sony STR-K790 ($120) from a couple of years ago, my rear speakers were damaged by my kids..so I am just using the 3 front speakers and the sub.

Im thinking about getting either the vizio or comparable sony sound bar to replace this set up. Is this a worthy upgrade? or pretty much the same thing?

Probably will not be an audio upgrade at all but possibly an upgrade in connectivity
