Will I see a difference --1080i vs 1080p?

I just got an Epson 6100 PJ for x-mas with a Seymour 97" screen. I am soooooo psyched and I currently run the blu ray through an old Samsung BD-P1000. I just bought the 2550 and I am curious if all of you think that I will see a difference going from 1080i to 1080P on the projector --


Any 1st BLURAY disc opinions on the new player?
