Everything is flat black (trim, walls, outlet covers, you name it). Carpet is charcoal gray (might as well be black). There is no outside light.


Perceived contrast on my 100 inch screen (seated 10 feet away) is probably a billion to 1

But as soon as I step outside of the room into the den, where there are windows, white walls, etc., it almost hurts my eyes.


So wondering if I'm damaging them.

If you had super-pupils there would be no issues, you could also wear sunglasses when exiting your cave.
