My A/V receiver is not recommended for speakers below 6 ohms impedance. I just purchased a Polk CSi30 center speaker but the manual indicates a 4 ohm "nominal impedance". The Polk Audio website, on the other hand, specifies 8 ohms for this speaker (also nominal impedance). Which is the real one?

I suggest posing this question directly with Polk. Matthew should be able to set you straight.

Great suggestion. I've done so and now know that the impedance stipulated in the manual is in error. It should read "compatible with 8 ohms" according to Polk support. Everyone can relax now ;-)
