Here's some info on the new Toshiba DR1 DVD Recorder.

I read in only one place, that it also may/will have DVI-HDCP Output- but I am not certain that's true.

Does anyone know for sure?

Toshiba D-R1 DVD-RAM/DVD-R Recorder

Toshiba has announced a second generation DVD recorder, the D-R1. This new model will feature:

• Super MultiDrive

• DVD-RAM format and DVD-R

• Time Slip function to simultaneously record, and playback; enabling consumers to pause live television as well as begin viewing a program recording that is already in progress

• ColorStream Pro Progressive Scan playback

• options for personalizing the DVD recording

• IEEE 1394 Digital interface to transfer their home video to DVD

• thumbnail features

• chapter creation function to designate the point at which they wish to have a chapter break

• playlists creation

• front A/V inputs including A/V Composite and S-Video
