Hi Guys:

Will this machine play all BD disks with no trouble? I want a new HTPC, but I don't want to run into any issues with not enough processing or graphics horsepower:


Intel Core-2 Mobile 2.66GHz 1066MHz FSB

Gigabyte 73PVM-S2H

Nvidia Geforce 7100 256MB

3GB DDR2 800MHz


Thanks in advance. I wanted to confirm before I pull the trigger. For reference, below is the link on eBay. Also, if anyone has a better recommendation (for not much more money) I'd be very happy to hear. I'll be using the machine just for watching movies and for iTunes (don't need any soundcard as am outputting to USB dac).

Not a fan of the MB from a graphics standpoint-

If you're going to go through the trouble of building out a new system I think you'll want something better suited to BD - this isn't all that different from what you have now.

If it were me I'd just try upgrading the video card that you have to a newer one - since you've got ATI right now, why not just get a 4xxx card and be done with it?
