I just got Windows XP and now my sound card does not work. I have the Hercules Game Theater XP and have got the XP patch but it still does not work. Does anyone have this sound card and WindowsXP and has it working?


I need the card display to work so that I can switch between SPIDIF (for DVDs) and main output (for games).

I have this card and have it working with few glitches.


With the NT platform (NT,2000,XP) you need to reboot everytime you switch the digital out setting. This is not a bug inthe driver, it is set that way, but it is a major pain.


I found that I will use the analog outs for everything except for AC3 passthrough (power dvd setting). so for me I rarely will need to worry about this. You may want to consider, since the digital out only sends a dolby prologic signal anyways.


I don't know what is happening with your system.

I have my coaxial digital out hooked up to my receiver and it does pass a DD signal (5.1) . I have not tested it with DTS though.
