WinDVD 8 works well with playing DVD's from my DVD drive. But when I play from the hard drive my computer locks up and I would have to restart the computer, everytime.


I have the latest WinDVD 8 Platinum build

I have an AMD 64 4000+ processer

ASUS 850XT video card

Windows XP

I had to uninstall WinDVD 7 manually


I removed WinDVD 8 and reinstalled WinDVD 7 and I have no problems with it. Anyone else having problems with WinDVD 8?

I believe WinDVD 8 is full of bugs , I have tried the trial version and lots of problems (ie video stuttering , TDNM not working well and sound dissapears) , no lock ups when playing from HDD though

I wonder if it is because of the latest Windows Media Player but WinDVD 7 operates fine. The initial install had a lot of problems. Why does InterVideo brings out crap like this and their customer service sucks It is like they don't want to help you.


Is there a way to seek legal action to InterVideo because selling a product that does not live up to advertising or not providing customer support?
