windvd4 "failed to open audio device"


Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I'm using Windows 2k with service pack 4 and a Revo. 2 channel sound works. When I go into windvd set up and select anything multi channel the sound quits. If I close and reopen windvd I get the error message.
